Click to Enlarge This is a bit of a journey through the actual process of transforming an every day diecast into the custom requests that are received. For this particular project, the goal was to create a replica of a real-life race car. The challenge came in that the request was made just two weeks before Christmas 2002, and it had to be done and shipped in time for Christmas. With only a few pictures of the car to go by, including the one here, all focus was turned to this car for one week. During drying and 'rest' periods, documentary photographs were taken to follow the progress of the car from a bare metallic structure to a finished replica of the #88 Late Model Stock Car. Shortly after the final picture was taken, the car was boxed up and shipped to it's destination in North Carolina in time for Christmas.
